Kensington
London, oh London. Many of my clients come from abroad and have a home in London. And almost without fail, the same complaints arise. "Why so few bathrooms?!"
This house in Kensington is no exception. One bathroom? Not enough. We had to completely redesign the floor layout, knock down walls, rewire and re-plumb to create that extra space for a bathroom.
I say "create" that extra space, because the home felt like it had much more space as a result of the redesign. We had reallocated space to a brand new bathroom, and were left with more living room than before.
It was a full modernisation, and the soft neutral colours were the perfect palate for the client’s pied-a-terre in London.
